{A JLD Wedding} Casey and Michael part 1

I mentioned this wedding awhile ago. I seriously doubt you remember. But I showed you this…

Casey and Michael | Jennifer Laura Design | Kemah, Texas

and mentioned that my March was going to be a crazy busy month. Spoiler alert: It was. I did three weddings that month and two just so happened to be on the same day. This wasn’t something I planned or thought was a good idea, but Casey had originally hired me for mid-March and then had to change her date mid-planning for unfortunately a date I had just booked. I really didn’t want to see one of my clients lose her deposit so I insisted that we find a way I could at least still do her design and set-up. It actually worked out quite well. This wedding was the same day as Alice and Paul’s and we couldn’t get into their venue until 1pm. We were hopping fences to draw chalk hearts at noon, but that still left plenty of time to do an early morning set up at Casey and Michael’s venue, the Clipper House Inn in Kemah. Which just so happened to be about 15 minutes from our (old) apartment. It worked out pretty perfectly. I mean it made a typically long wedding day even longer and we had two set-ups and two break downs instead of one, which is admittedly very insane (and did I mention I did the flowers for this one too?). But this wedding was small (only thirty people) and after looking back at the photos, I’m so glad we got to be a part of it. It was quirky, fun, and totally cute. Here’s a video sneak peek for now and I’ll be back with the rest on Friday.
